Country music legend George Strait has added new dates in Kansas City and Wichita to the tour celebrating the release of his 28th studio album, Honky-Tonk Time Machine.
The new concerts will be in Wichita and Kansas City on January 24 and 25 next year. This is the “King of Country’s” first announced performance of 2020 and one of few he has scheduled outside of his ongoing Las Vegas residency and in his home state of Texas. Strait will also be performing at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on June 8, followed by a gig at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on August 17 and a two-day show at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on November 22 and 23. From there, he’ll play four more Strait to Vegas shows at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 23 and 24, as well as December 6 and 7.
The new shows will go on sale May 17, and fans are hoping they’ll be easier to snatch up this time, as his Fort Worth show completely sold-out within an hour when it went on sale last December.
This past year, Strait has broken another NRG Stadium attendance record while performing at RodeoHouston. The singer drew in a crowd of over 80,100 fans, breaking his previous record from 2013.
