Concert promoter giant Live Nation Entertainment revealed this week that it has fully acquired the Bonnaroo promoter AC Entertainment. Along with the acquisition, the company announced a handful of regional promotions throughout its U.S. Concerts Division.
Back in 2016, Live Nation first took an equity stake in AC Entertainment. The promoter co-founded the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and produces the Moon River Festival in Coolidge Park, as well as producing events and managing Memorial Auditorium and the Tivoli Theatre. The current AC Entertainment President, Ashely Capps, will remain with the company and still play an active role in the Bonnaroo, along with several other events, according to Live Nation.
In addition to the AC Entertainment acquisition, Live Nation launched its first office in Portland, Oregon amid the growing touring scene in the city. MaryClare Bourjaily, an employee of Live Nation for over 15 years who recently worked as a Senior Talent Buyer in Seattle, has been named President of Portland, U.S. Concerts. Other employees have also been rearranged to different roles across the country; Kurt Melian has been named President of New York City U.S. Concerts, Sid Greenfieg will step up to the President’s post in Las Vegas with Amanda Moore stepping in as Senior Vice President, and twenty-year Live Nation veteran Dave Clark has been promoted to the President of Michigan, U.S. Concerts.
Additionally, a longtime Live Nation staffer Michael Belkin has been appointed to President of Ohio and Kentucky, U.S. Concerts, Josh Lacey will take over as Live Nation’s new President of Minneapolis, U.S. Concerts, and Dan Kramer, a 13-year employee with the company, will take over the newly-created role of President of Indiana, U.S. Concerts. These newly appointed presidents will take on day-to-day operations of their local markets, overseeing marketing, production, and ticketing in the region, Live Nation said.
